Coaching Staff

Kendall Todd | Associate Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers

Kendall Todd is in his fifth season with the Panther coaching staff. Todd will work with the linebackers for the first time in 2019.

He came to LaGrange from Arkansas Baptist College where he worked with the offensive line and running backs.

Todd is a graduate of McMurry (Texas) University with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and interdisciplinary studies.
 
Todd began his coaching career at McMurry. He was the defensive line coach and equipment manager. Todd was instrumental in the design of McMurry’s new uniform prior to the 2011 season.

Prior to going to McMurry, Todd played two seasons at Arkansas Baptist. He played on the varsity for Prescott (Ark.) High School for three years under head coach David Bennett. Todd was all-district all three seasons and selected for an Arkansas all-star game.

Jarred Rutherford | Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks/Academic Coordinator

Jarred Rutherford is in his fourth season on the Panthers' football coaching staff and second as the offensive coordinator. He is also the team's academic coordinator. Rutherford coached at Point University for three seasons before coming to LaGrange College. He coached the wide receivers and served as recruiting coordinator.

Rutherford is a 2012 graduate of Georgia State University with a bachelor's degree in acccounting, He worked under head coach Bill Curry at Georgia State. Rutherford was selected to attend the Future Coaches Academy at the AFCA Football Coaches Convention in 2012. He helped Georgia State's football program during its initial years of creation, working as an offensive graduate assistant working with the quarterbacks.

Jarred and his wife Brenna have three sons: Clarke (6), Carter (5), and Cylas (1).

 

John Cody | Offensive Line

John Cody is beginning his coaching career with the Panthers’ staff in 2019. Cody is a 2019 graduate of Berry College, earning a degree in exercise science.

Cody was a four-year letterman for the Vikings. Berry went 37-7 during his career, winning three Southern Athletic Association conference championships and reaching the NCAA Division III playoffs two times. Cody earned SAA Academic Honor Roll honors three times.

Cody is a native of Thomson, Georgia. He was a three-year starter and was an All-Region selection three times for Thomson High School. Cody is the son of Brian and Lisa Cody.
